Drum-type Shot Blasting Machine

The drum-type shot blasting machine is a cleaning equipment used in various industries for sand cleaning, rust removal, scale removal, and surface strengthening of castings and forgings. It is suitable for cleaning all types of castings and forgings that are not prone to collision or scratch damage, and serves as an ideal device in heat treatment workshops for removing residual sand and oxide scale from workpiece surfaces. The drum-type shot blasting machine is mainly composed of a drum, a separator, a shot blaster, an elevator, and a geared motor. It adopts the popular pit-free design, which saves the construction cost of pit foundations. Additionally, it uses a cantilever centrifugal shot blaster with high projection speed, which can significantly improve cleaning efficiency and achieve satisfactory cleaning quality.

Performance Indicators

The overall indicators present three-dimensional advantages:

◆Operating Parameters:Drum Rotational Speed: 6~18 r/min (stepless speed regulation, adaptable to workpiece density; 12~18 r/min for light workpieces, 6~10 r/min for heavy small castings); Shot Blasting Capacity: 180~450 kg/h (adjustable on demand);

◆Rust removal grade: ≥ GB8923-88 Sa2.5 (corresponding to the international standard ISO 8501-1:2007 Sa2.5). The residual amount of scale and rust on the steel surface is ≤ 1.5%, and there shall be no visible oil, dirt or stamping burrs;

◆Service Life of Core Components:Drum Liner (polyurethane + wear-resistant steel composite material): ≥ 2,800 hours; Shot Blaster Blade (high-chromium Cr18Mn alloy): ≥ 1,800 hours; Shot Separator Separation Efficiency: ≥ 99.6% (to prevent shot blaster wear caused by impurities);
